Unique, Hands-On Experiences

Reaching out to students in under-resourced communities Go Full STEAM provides students with unique, hands-on experiences in math, robotics and the visual and performing arts. Experiences that would otherwise be inaccessible to our students because of economic hardships in their families and communities. Go Full STEAM programs fill the opportunity gaps that can hinder students in low-income, under-resourced communities, encouraging them to dream big and achieve more than they thought possible.

One Organization

Go Full STEAM is comprised of four programs: ArtWorks, MathBee, Robotics and Arts After 5 — all under one umbrella!

By working together Go Full STEAM programs leverage funding, resources, talent, and staff experience. This collaboration allows Go Full STEAM to reach more students and work collectively to spark imagination, build competencies, and maximize student potential.

ArtWorks

Artworks provides visual arts programming and arts experiences for youth who have faced the difficulties caused by poverty, substance and physical/sexual abuse, and homelessness.  Projects are designed to build self-esteem, promote personal healing, and enhance cultural pride. Field trips to visual and performing arts venues allow students to participate in new experiences that broaden their perspective. Student art is exhibited at local galleries and students attend opening receptions. They present their work to reception guests and meet other artists. This improves communication skills and builds self-confidence. ArtWorks strives to instill in students a life-long interest in the arts either as a career, or for their personal well-being. In Arts After 5 classes students gain self-confidence and improve their presentation skills. The program culminates each summer with students performing in a musical theatre production presented to the public. The summer musical brings the community together and is eagerly anticipated each summer.
