Robotics

Partnership with First Robotics that brings hands-on experience with technology. As a team, students design solutions to technical challenges, research a related project and present their solutions during competitions with a dash of innovation and creativity.
ArtsAfter5

Arts After 5 holds a weekly theater class in East Winter Garden. Students learn basic theater principles in stage movement, voice, diction, and improvisation. The program teaches techniques to overcome stage-fright and develop self-confidence and culminates with a summer musical open to the public.
ArtWorks

ArtWorks bring the healing power of art to children who have faced the challenges of poverty, homelessness, abuse, or other traumatic experiences. Projects are designed to encourage introspective thought, enhance cultural pride and build self-esteem. Field trips to arts events open young minds to new possibilities and build bridges with those beyond their community.
Math Bee

Provides an annual OCPS district-wide math bee experience. Students in 4th Grade of Title 1 schools in Orange County participate in math competition series starting at the class and school levels with winners advancing to the district level.
Program Highlights
Our 4 programs are different in their focused content, but they all share a common philosophy – to utilize science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) as pathways for social change – for individual students and beyond. The programs provide active, hands-on activities that are responsively facilitated to promote self-expression, critical thinking, self-reflection, a sense of belonging, curiosity, motivation and individual autonomy.
